Description: Introduction to key concepts related to the provision of integrated health care services, as well as role of wellness and prevention in community health services. The course will introduce students to the theory and clinical practice of integrated behavioral health in primary care, as well as evidence-based approaches to promote wellness in individuals and communities.

2. Discuss the nature of national and global health disparities and examine the factors that contribute to these disparities. (I, II, V)
3. Describe wellness and its role in an integrated, holistic, patient-centered health care approach. (I, IV, V)
4. Describe and explain the various definitions of integrated health and patient-centered, team-based healthcare. (II)
5. Examine the role of behavioral health in primary care and primary care in behavioral health. (II, III, IV)
6. Evaluate the role of health care practitioners in promoting health, managing disease, reducing health disparities as part of multidisciplinary treatment teams. (II, III, IV)
7. Examine the role of research and health policy in integrated health systems. (II, III, IV, V)
8. Identify and describe a variety of brief interventions related to behavioral health care in an integrated health environment. (II, IV, V)
