Description: Introduces healthful living practices for health care professionals to include nutrition, stress management and exercise. Includes Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard precautions and facility safety. Use of principles of body mechanics in daily living activities.

1. Describe dimensions of wellness and decision making needed to achieve a wellness life style. (I)
2. Demonstrate principles of body mechanics for personal safety. (II)
3. Describe methods of transmission and control for blood-borne and airborne pathogens. (III)
4. Describe select Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard precautions. (IV)
5. Demonstrate hand-washing technique. (V)
