Description: General surgical procedures to include ophthalmic, plastic surgery, reconstruction with grafting, obstetric, gynecological, genitourinary, otorhinolaryngology, oral and maxilla facial surgery with lasers and scopes. Surgical techniques as applied to major body systems, anatomical structures. Related abbreviations and usage in the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative areas of surgical technology. Surgical care provided by the surgical technologist in the perioperative arena.

10. Perform assistant techniques for protection, positioning and draping of the anesthetized patient. (V)
11. Perform a facsimile of step-by-step procedures for opening and closure of specific surgeries. (VI)

14. Describe burn classifications, skin grafts, dermatomes and special graft instruments and supplies. (XIII)
