1. Define and use fabric and garment construction terminology. (I)
2. Operate the sewing machine and use sewing tools and pressing equipment. (II) 3. Take body measurements and select correct pattern sizes. (III) 4. Fit and alter commercial patterns. (III) 5. Interpret patterns guide sheets accurately in garment construction. (III) 6. Select, prepare, lay out, cut, and mark fashion fabric for construction. (IV) 7. Select and apply interfacing to fashion fabric. (V) 8. Use pressing techniques in the construction of garments. (VI) 9. Apply standard clothing construction techniques for seams and seam finishes, darts, facings, gathering, hems, buttons, buttonholes, and trims. (VI) 10. Evaluate the construction and fit of garments.
