Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Welding develops skills in oxyacetylene (gas) and electric (arc) welding with emphasis on preparing for the American Welding Society Arc certification exam.

Program Competencies
1. Perform various types of welding beads on various joints in position and out of position, and analyze welding quality as it relates to inspection and quality control. (WLD101, WLD106AA, WLD106AB, WLD106AC, WLD106AD) 2. Apply theory, practice, set-up and operation of all types of machines concerning TIG, MIG, and sub-arc welding with emphasis on tungsten inert gas and wire feed. (WLD206AA, WLD206AB, WLD206AC, WLD206AD) 3. Perform all "out of position" welding tasks in preparation for certification test, and perform American Welding Society (A.W.S.) test in vertical and overhead positions. (WLD208AA)

Program Notes
This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid. Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
