Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Cable and Wire Harness Assembly will prepare the successful student to receive the "Certified IPC Specialist" (CIS) certification from The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC)/Wire Harness Manufacturer`s Association (WHMA) in "Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies" (IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification). Topics covered and skills to be demonstrated are: soldered terminations, crimp terminations, insulation displacement terminations (IDC), splices, connectorization, marking/labeling, coaxial cable assemblies, electrical shielding, wire marking and labeling, and testing methodologies. Certification is verified by a certified IPC trainer (CIT).
