Description: The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Early Childhood Education - Dual Language is designed to prepare individuals for employment in early childhood professions in dual language educational settings. The Bachelor`s degree includes advanced instruction in child development, curriculum design and development, theory and practice in the education of young children, and the intersections of family, community, and learning and development for dual language learners. Upon completion of the Bachelor’s of Arts, students may work as teachers of children from birth to third grade. The BA in Early Childhood Education - Dual Language degree provides a pathway for students seeking Arizona Department of Education Early Childhood Teacher Certification (Birth - Age 8 or Grade 3) with an endorsement in Bilingual Education and/or English as a Second Language. Certificates of Completion (CCL) in Foundation of Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Education, as well as the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Early Childhood Education are also available and embedded within the Bachelor’s of Arts.
