Changes to the CEG

Requests from Pima and Yavapai CCs to ASU: Pima noted that Precalculus as two courses combination (MAT 188 Precalculus I and MAT 189 Precalculus II) is blank in the ASU column in the CEG.The courses listed individually show transferability as MAT 117 and MAT 170 respectively. ASU Academic Transfer Credit Solutions--please notify Scott Surgent (ASU Tempe) and Pima CC ATF members when evaluated and added to CEG. Yavapai requests eval of combo MAT182 and 183, combo of 152 and 183 (both are equivalent to 187 precalculus at Yavapai) and 183 by itself. ASU ATCS--please notify Molly Beaucham at Yavapai when evaluated and added to CEG.

Changes to Exam Equivalency Matrices
:
|
The IB SL exam (plain, not the new ones--Analysis and Appl or Applications and Interp.) chart is missing from the EEG. AZTransfer--please add so Kathy can add equivalencies. Meeting notes indicate that a score of 5 or higher on this exam=credit for College Mathematics at all 3 universities and all of the CCs. This exam will be offered through Nov. 2020 so incoming students could have it.

Additional Comment/ Discussion Items

Regarding Fall 2019 Meeting Notes: The notes were approved with the following correction: page 4 "...and are currently accepting Business Calculus MAT131 in lieu of 121." Also, page 2-DSST Info insufficient to accurate credit equivalencies. Links in AZTransfer.com are broken/lead to "oops" page on the DSST website. (This still needs to be addressed. Kathy will work with AZTransfer and DSST and send info to the ATF listserv)

Issues Raised
:
|
Is SUN eligibility dependent on the number of credits or is it based on course content? Andy Burch (EMCC) asked why MAT15x courses other than 152 (3 cr.) cannot have SUN status. (Kathy to follow up with AZTransfer)
