Changes to Majors on Common Course Matrix :
Changes to AGEC :
Changes to Common Course Matrices : On the Family & Consumer Sciences - Merchandising and Retailing Matrix:

* Visual Merchandising - For MCCCD and NAU, should MER 431 be replaced with MER DEC?

On the Family and Consumer Sciences - Nutrition/Dietetics:

* Principles of Human Nutrition - For CAC, the ASU equivalency should be NTR 241

FCS recommends placing a BAS degree option on their matrices to support AAS articulation. The degree they would like included is ASU Poly Tech's BAS in Operational Management degree. Also, the ATF wants to market the NAU's Career & Technical Education: Occupational Education (BS in Education) to AAS students. They want to know their options on how to accomplish this through the statewide transfer system.

Record of Voting : Meeting notes unanimously approved with a correction.

The ATF voted to support Nutrition's pursuit in establishing their own ATF.

Additional Comment/ Discussion Items : The FCS ATF reviewed the aztransfer.com site and had the following recommendations:

* Some of the members went to the Advising pages to locate the ATF portal pages. Is there any way to provide an entry point higher up on the page instead of at the bottom?

* Under the Degrees and Pathways List on the FCS portal page, the BS in Merchandising at NAU is not listed. Please add.

* To accurately reflect their programs, the FCS ATF recommends renaming the ATF to Family Studies and Consumer Sciences.

Issues Raised : The FCS did not have any APASC issues per se; however, the expressed the critical need to begin to incorporate BAS degree information sooner rather than later. They also recommended that the statewide AAS to BAS subcommittee rename themselves to the AAS to Bachelor's subcommittee since some AAS pathways can articulate into BS programs.

The group also recommended that the statewide committees work towards a Program Articulation Guide (PAG) to support AAS articulation similar to the Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) but for programs.

Non-APASC issue: An ATF Member heard a rumor that the universities were reserving course numbers, and would not articulate with community college courses that shared that number. The ATF requests a follow-up response to this inquiry.

FYI: The Nutrition faculty plan to establish their own ATF, and will work on a proposal to submit to APASC using the criteria to Establish a New ATF.
