Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Fashion Design, Level I program provides students with skills including but not limited to historical fashions, illustration, sketching a line, and selecting appropriate textiles for individual clients. Student completing this certificate will enter the fashion industry at entry-level positions. An additional Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Fashion Design, Level II and an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree are also available.

8. Draw fashion figures and sketch garments on figures using drawing pencil, charcoal, ink wash, watercolor, pastels, felt tip/marker pens, colored pencils, and acrylics to experiment with different techniques used in fashion illustration. (TEC134)
9. Develop a portfolio for computer-assisted apparel designs using industry software and the elements and principles of design. (TEC221)
10. Describe fiber production, yarn and fabric construction, color application, and finishes applied to textile products. (TEC222)
11. Describe properties, use, and care of major textile fibers (cotton, linen, rayon, acetate, triacetate, silk, wool, nylon, polyester, acrylic, modacrylic.) (TEC222)
