Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Mechanical Drafting program prepares students to work in the mechanical drafting field. The program emphasizes current technological trends in the industry and is designed both for those planning to enter a career in the field as well as for those already working in the field who want to advance and update their knowledge and skills.

1. Prepare drawings using drafting instrument/equipment such as drafting machine, triangles, scales (English and Metric), templates, bow compass, lettering guide and mechanical pencils. (DFT110)
2. Prepare drawings consisting of geometric construction, orthographic projection (multiviews), and auxiliary/sectional views. (DFT111)
3. Apply Gothic lettering, dimensions (English and Metric), tolerances, and allowances to machine detail and assembly drawings. (DFT112)
4. Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing practices. (DFT115)
5. Set up and operate CAD system to generate drawings. (DFT105AA)
