Description: Internship/work experience in a biotechnology laboratory. Setting, achieving, and evaluating goals for hands-on learning experiences in a biotechnology laboratory. Development of skills and knowledge needed to work in a biotechnology laboratory.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Apply classroom instruction in biotechnology to internship/work experiences during 320 clock hours. (I, II)
2. Accomplish individualized biotechnology laboratory-related objectives. (I, II)
3. Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel and with the faculty member. (I, II, III)
4. Apply human relations skills in a laboratory setting. (I, II, III)
5. Summarize internship experiences by delivering a formal presentation to an audience consisting of laboratory personnel, faculty, staff, and students. (III)
