Description: Emphasis on the layout and construction procedures for floor systems, including: interpretation of construction drawings and specifications; selection of appropriate types of floor system components; and application of floor system materials. Includes estimation of the amount of materials needed for a floor assembly and some common alternative floor systems.

7. Estimate the amount of material to frame a floor assembly from a set of plans. (III)
8. Select the appropriate construction method and floor system materials for a given floor system. (IV, V)
9. Lay out and construct a floor assembly according to specifications, including a rough opening and subfloor material. (VI, VII)
