Description: The layout and construction procedures for steel framing, including: interpretation of construction drawings and specifications; selection of appropriate types of steel framing components; and application of materials. Includes estimation of the amount of materials needed for a steel assembly.

3. Construct a steel assembly according to specifications. (I, II, IV-VI)

8. Estimate the amount of material used on a steel assembly from a set of plans. (II, III)
9. Select the appropriate construction method and steel materials for steel framing. (II, IV, V)
