Description: Examines the safety, codes, installation, maintenance, and repair of appliances, fixtures, and gas piping.

1. Practice Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), trade, and local safety standards in daily work. (I-IV)
2. Discuss appliances, including types, components, controls, codes, safety equipment, accessories and installation. (II)
3. Demonstrate installation practices for commercial, industrial, and institutional settings involving fixtures, appliances, fittings, valves, and trim. (I, III)
4. Apply gas piping installation techniques including pipe sizing, fittings and connections, appliance regulators and meters, controls, and corrosion protection. (I, III)
5. Troubleshoot appliances and fixtures in plumbing systems. (I, IV)
6. Maintain appliances and fixtures in plumbing systems. (I, IV)
7. Repair appliances and fixtures in plumbing systems. (I, IV)
8. Demonstrate efficient and quality work. (I-IV)
9. Effectively communicate with stakeholders. (I-IV)
10. Effectively work within a team structure. (I-IV)
11. Demonstrate professionalism in teamwork, conduct, and ethics. (I-IV)
