Description: Provides students with the information and skills needed to read and understand construction drawings.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Interpret various types of construction drawings, including their fundamental components and features. (I, II)
2. Identify construction methods and materials described in various types of construction drawings. (III, IV)
3. Apply various symbols, terms, abbreviations, and drawing conventions to various types of construction working drawings. (III, IV)
MCCCD Official Course Competencies must be coordinated with the content outline so that each major point in the outline serves one or more competencies. MCCCD faculty retains authority in determining the pedagogical approach, methodology, content sequencing, and assessment metrics for student work.
