Description: Overview of the selection, use, maintenance and safety procedures for common hand tools, power tools and equipment used in the construction industry. Overview of the maintenance of workspace according to professional standards.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Demonstrate basic safety procedures and the selection of appropriate safety equipment for use of specific hand tools, power tools and equipment. (I, II)
2. Properly maintain workspace according to industry standards. (I-IV)
3. Select appropriate hand tools, power tools and equipment for a specific task. (III)
4. Effectively operate hand tools, power tools and equipment. (III)
5. Properly maintain and store hand tools, power tools and equipment according to industry standards. (IV)
