Description: Emphasis on increasing student success through educational and career planning.

MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Define basic terminology and concepts related to educational planning and career exploration. (I) 2. Describe the career exploration process steps of self-awareness, information gathering, decision-making, and taking action. (II) 3. Utilize self-assessment tools for exploring interests, values, skills, and personality preferences within the world of work. (III) 4. Analyze self-assessment results to guide research into career options utilizing occupational and educational information tools. (IV) 5. Identify resources for ongoing research and assistance with educational/career goals in response to occupational trends and technological changes in a global marketplace. (V) 6. Articulate an actionable plan to pursue educational and career goals. (VI)
