Description: A continuation of ARB101. Continued study of grammar and vocabulary, with emphasis on pronunciation and speaking skills



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Pronounce Arabic words using appropriate sound patterns and intonation. (I)
2. Identify and use Arabic word formation strategies. (II)
3. Demonstrate proper use of common question/answer strategies, requests and simple commands. (III)
4. Use proper grammar and vocabulary related to telling time. (III)
5. Identify and use vocabulary related to various daily activities and situations. (III)
6. Use the numeral system in Arabic. (IV)
7. Use Arabic tenses and constructions. (V)
8. Demonstrate writing skills in accordance with formal norms of Arabic grammar. (VI)
9. Compare and contrast cultural elements in Arabic and Western culture. (VII)
