Description: Emphasis on signal-processing equipment, mixing consoles, and advanced musical recording session procedures, production, and engineering. Includes mix-down and resultant master tape of a musical recording session.

3. Identify and correctly use common signal-processing equipment. (III)
4. Demonstrate correct use of effects equipment. (IV)
5. Demonstrate correct use of various electronic percussion units. (V)
6. Demonstrate multi-track recording using appropriate procedures. (VI)
7. Demonstrate correct overdubbing techniques. (VII)
8. Conduct a successful mix-down, including imaging and equalization (VIII)
9. Edit a tape by cutting and splicing and taking musical determinants into consideration. (IX)
10. Identify and describe marketing procedures for recorded materials. (X)
