Description: Introduction to wig technology, including the use of tools and techniques for making, ventilating, measuring, and styling period wigs.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of wig/hair terms and technology. (I-X)
2. Demonstrate the ability to select and employ proper techniques for application, construction, and styling of wigs and hairpieces, appropriate to the needs of the project. (I, V, VI, VII)
3. Demonstrate basic skills and techniques in wig ventilating (wig making). (II, III, VI, VII)
4. Describe and create a variety of period hairstyles. (IV, VII, IX, X)
5. Demonstrate proper construction and application of facial hair. (VII)
