Description: Instruction in basic computer literacy, including generic applications and music-specific programs with hands-on experience. Ability to read music notation required



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Use a basic word processing program to create a flier for a music program. (I)
2. Use a basic spreadsheet program to track music budgets. (II)
3. Use a basic paint and draw program to create posters, fliers, and mailings for a music program. (III)
4. Use a basic database program to catalog personal music, sound recordings, and sheet music. (IV)
5. Use a music notation program to create and edit a document. (V)
6. Use a music sequence program to create and edit a song. (VI)
7. Survey various instructional software. (VII)
