Description: Design, produce, and present a professional portfolio. Includes presentation board, color and fabric selection, fashion figure illustration techniques, flat sketching, design market focus, layout and presentation formats, and writing a resume and cover letter for potential employers.



MCCCD Official Course Competencies
1. Identify and select market focus as related to the production of a portfolio. (I)
2. Write a resume and cover letter for specific employment in the fashion industry. (II)
3. Select specific content materials and organize portfolio development. (III)
4. Identify types of presentation boards, and create a presentation board. (IV)
5. Sketch and illustrate fashion figures and designs. (V)
6. Use appropriate sketching techniques to draw flats for designs. (VI)
7. Produce the layout and contents of, and present, a completed portfolio. (VII)
