Description: Medical assistants are integral members of the administrative and clinical healthcare team in various healthcare settings. Medical assistants act as liaisons between the healthcare providers and patients, and are of vital importance to the success of the medical practice. The Certificate of Competency (CCT) in Medical Assisting provides education and training for employment as medical assistants. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the national certification exam.
