Description: The Certificate of Competency (CCT) in Welding: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) prepares students for aerospace industry code certification testing in the gas tungsten arc welding process in carbon steel and stainless-steel (ferrous metals) and aluminum (non-ferrous). An AAS in Welding as well as certificates in the following areas of specialization are also available: Welding: Gas Metal / Flux Cored Arc Welding (GMAW)/(FCAW), Welding: Shielded Metal Arc welding (SMAW) Plate, Welding: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Pipe, and Welding: Shielded Metal Arc welding (SMAW) Plate and Pipe.
