DSST - Introduction to World Religions Exam
1. Maricopa - REL 100 equivalency that appears on the matrix for DSST exam was not approved by the ATF Members (Elizabeth Ursic - Mesa, Janet Carleton - Glendale, Matt Cooper - South Mountain). Members would like REL 100 replaced with "Not Accepted." Facilitator entered "Not Accepted" in red on exam matrix for Maricopa approval. 2. Central AZ College, Coconino Community College, Dine, Eastern AZ College, Northland Pioneer College, TOCC and Yavapai?s cells for this exam still display ?Under review.? Change to Not Accepted? IB World Religions (SL) exam 1. Central AZ College, Coconino Community College, Dine, Eastern AZ College, Maricopa, Northland Pioneer College, TOCC and Yavapai?s cells still display ?Under review.? To review, click on the exam link on your REL Dashboard and then on the exam content link at the bottom of the matrix. Overall concern with new practice of students no longer being required to take Arts & Humanities and critical thinking courses for the AAS degree.
Maricopa - Elizabeth, Janet, Matt - Discussion on History of World Religions. NAU - Moving single tradition religion courses moving from the 300-level to 200-leves - a few years out - may be a course deletion. May need the community colleges to resend some courses through ACETS for a new articulation possibility. New hires - may be new choices for Eastern religion in the coming years. |
