1. Need additional IB info to determine whether to award equivalency. Will collected additonal data by contacting a h.s. IB EGR instructor.
2. Discussed potential to create a new course for common course matrix that inclues MATLAB,structural programming 3. Need to reachh out to middle schools or even lower to generate interest in STEM and Engineering careers so students will take the appropriate courses in high school for STEM. 4. Daniel Musgrove from Chevron wants to work with CC's and universities to develop connections with high schools and middle schools to create interest in Engineering because there are not enough graduating engineers in the natino to meet their needs. 5. Group indicated interest in createing statewide agreements to share low enrolled engineering courses through ITV to make classes viable. this discussion need to go to CAO's and Business offices to see if feasible. |
