Changes to Majors on Common Course Matrix :
Changes to Common Course Matrices : Media Arts Matrix: Intro to Production for NAU should be changed to EMF 225 per Norm Medoff. Same course for CAC should be N/A (remove MSC 100) per Bonnie Gordon.
Also on Media Arts Matrix, per Bill Fee at UA, Media and Society for UA should show as DEC(JOUR). The course listed (JOUR151) is no longer active and should have been changed last year.

Additional Comment/ Discussion Items : Danielle will follow up with UA ATAC representative as to whether Media and Society course on Journalism matrix should be the same as Media & Society course on the Media Arts matrix (JOUR 151) and reply to the ATF listserv.

ATF Effectiveness responses: 1 and 3: They are flexible and open to coordinating meetings with other ATF's. This year they met jointly in the afternoon with the Art ATF. 2: Frustrations: Just a question raised in regards to overlap of Media Arts with other areas. Could there be a reason to form a Production ATF that would incorporate appropriate areas?

Sustainability questions: Many general operating practices were discussed that the departments already have in place such as more online courses, web/hybrid course development, Environmental Reporting section of newspaper, Environmental writing workshops. All journalism departments discussed additional focus on decreased printing; more publications going online, some using 100% recyclable products and 85% post-consumer waste. One no longer delivers exams on paper, but using the institution's online course delivery system (even for in-person classes.)
