Changes to the CEG : Copies of the CEG will be sent to the appropriate institutions.

For AWC's ENV 280, change elective credit at NAU to ENV 280

For AWC's BIO 240, it satisfies BIO 340 at NAU. AWC's BIO 254 satisfies BIO 345 at NAU.
Changes to Majors on Common Course Matrix : The Biology ATF wanted to know why the Degrees and Majors on the Common Course Matrix did not include all the degrees listed on the Bachelors' Degrees and University Academic Units list(formerly known as Appendix G). There are some discrepancies.

ASU- Should Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology be on the list of Shared Majors since the BIO 181 & BIO 182 listed in the common course matrix does not apply?

The NAU Rep indicated that the Microbiology major has been changed to contain two emphases: Applied and Environmental Microbiology, and Biomedical Microbiology. This will replace what had been two majors: General Microbiology, and Microbiology Pre-Health Professional.
Changes to AGEC :
Changes to Common Course Matrices : NAU - BME 310 needs to be added to the matrix for Intro Special Ed or Multicultural Awareness in ED.

UA was not present to address the following:

1. The UA CEG equivalency for CAC's BIO181 is MCB Departmental Elective. Is that equivalency correct? All of the other colleges have a direct equivalency for BIO181.

2. In the CEG, the UA equivalency of ECOL181L & ECOL181R is shown for BIO181 for AWC, EAC, Mohave, NPC, and Yavapai. Yet the equivalency shown in the common course matrix for BIO181 for those same colleges is MCB181L & MCB181R. Does the BIO181 equivalency of ECOL181L & ECOL181R for the above-named colleges need to be changed to MCB181L & MCB181R in the CEG?

3. Does DEC (SERP) need to be added to the matrix for Intro Special Ed or Multicultural Awareness in ED since it is showing as the CEG equivalency for the following courses:
- AWC'S EDU222
- Cochise's EDU222
- Coconino's EDU222
- EAC's EDU222
- Yavapai's EDU222

4. There was a note under the Common Courses section of the 3/11/05 Education ATF Meeting Report that stated:

"The UofA also needed to update all Secondary Education matrices with SERP301B, instead of SERP301A. "A" is for Elementary Ed majors only."

Record of Voting : The ATF unanimously voted for the following:

They endorsed the proposed changes to AGEC-S. They had additional recommendations to the verbiage. The attached recommendations were shared with the Chair of the AGEC-S subcommittee.

The ATF agreed to send Biology representatives to the November APASC Meeting to discuss concerns regarding UA's attendance. This issue was raised last year and had not been addressed. A letter will be drafted as well.

The ATF expressed concerned and wanted additional clarification regarding NAU's University Diversity Requirement. They understand that students can satisfy the requirement at the upper division; however, they do not feel that AGEC courses should be resubmitted for evaluation to get the designation.

The ATF supports pre-reqs.
